I'm looking for information on the location of the "Dangling Children" area at Rocktown. We looked for it, and found an ampitheater with one top rope anchor (a single ring) but as it was described to me there should have been multiple anchors, a higher wall and steeper routes. We walked from the parking lot on the main trail back about 1 mile until just before it cuts through two large rocks and then went right. Any additional beta appreciated. j.

You went to far into Rocktown, you were @ the Heuco Simulator area., close but..... From there, go down the hill about 40 yards and go right on a well established trail, follow this for about 80-100 yards, you will enter another amphitheater type area. You will make a right into this area at a large, approx. 15 ft. tall boulder, the trail actually winds through several tall boulders. Once you make that right, look straight ahead and there will be Dangling Children. There are a couple of good routes right there on that face, all accessible from the backside of the boulder via an easy scramble. On top there will be anchors for Dangling Children as well as another anchor to the North(right, if your looking down Dangling) on top of a crack/ chimney route. You can also set up many climbs with gear and the occasional slung horn in that same area. Further down the hill from that area, near the Scoop boulder problem, is another anchor on top of a 40ft. face/crack, eats gear if you'd rather style it, however good toproping as well. If your looking at the scoop the boulder will be to your right, access is from the right side, if your looking at it, via a 4th class scramble. Good luck, CHEERS
