I'm looking for his old (1964?) Sierra Club Ascent journal article: View From Dead Horse Point. Google search leads nowhere.

Greetings:

I don't have any info on the original Ascent Publication but the article was also printed in a book called "The Games Climbers Play" edited by Ken Wilson. Chessler Books might be able to help.

Its been years since I read the story but Pratt's writings were always inspirational. Good luck.

You might check with Steve Roper who admires Pratt and has a wonderful climbing library and head for detail: Steveroper@aol.com

Yes, it was reprinted in Ken Wilson's Games Climbers Play (along with Sheridan's cartoons). If you like climbing literature, this anthology should be in yr library. Easy and cheap to find used:

If you need the original, ,and your library won't do an inter-library loan for you, you can get a xerox out of the AAC Library either by visiting or (if you're a member) requesting through the Library desk.
