We welcome ice climbing in our parks. In order to communicate our expectations for participation in this sport in the Saint Paul park system, we are installing signs at ice climbing sites, have updated the permit application, and require all ice climbers to obtain a permit before they climb. The permit includes a signed waiver by the participant, an annual fee and approval of Parks staff.
No ice climbing will be permitted until January 1, 2007 as signs are currently being printed and will be installed by the end of the 2006.
We hope you have an enjoyable and safe experience when using the City of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation system for your leisure activities.
Ice Climbing Permits may be obtained by contacting the Park Permit Office,
