Hey everyone. I am leaving for PC on Sat and I was wondering if I should pack cold-weather clothing or not. I've read that the lows in December shouldn't be too bad (Low 50s), so I'm thinking of leaving the down coat at home.

On the other hand, I've heard that cloudy days with wind can get pretty chilly. Any advice from someone thats been there would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Down coat is the norm for the mornings and night since it does not usually rain. That is usually the only layer in cold winter or a fleece in mild weather.

hey everyone, I should be in Potrero Chico for from dec 20 to the end of march. I'll be going on my own and want to meet some R.C.com climbers who will be there in december before i go. Also if you are an experienced climber preferably with your own gear looking for a good partner with experience and gear, please send me an email to vadik8745@hotmail.com

And a question for those who have been there before. If i plan to be camping there for the most part, is there somewhere that i can leave extra gear while i go climbing, such as the tent, sleeping bag etc.
thx for the replies in advance
Vadik

Ok, so for the coming week I guess I'll plan on climbing in shorts and drinking in down (or just layer it up with a fleece). Thanks for the reply.

Just checked the forcast and it looks like it's going to be in the 60' and low 70's for a few days and dipping into the 30's at night. Better bring the parka and a good sleeping bag.
