Its exit 111 off interstate 24 right on 55 towards mineville left on 379 tthan left on 278 left on hwy70 in centertown right on 146 towards smithville left on Gunter hollow right past gas station on right This should get you there if you coming from Chatt. If not you do the work! Drive to top of mt and park at mail tower and hike down and to the left. Rock all over!

Can I get some help with directions to Short Mountain? I actaully went yesterday, but did not have a lot of luck FINDING the climbing. I turned on Bible Camp Rd (which looks like it is also called Gunter Hollow) and drove up. I stopped at a sharp corner where there was obviously a trail, but didn't follow it because there were contruction signs. I also drove up further to a Y in the road, to the left had a "private property" sign, so I went to the right, which had a "Bible Camp" sign. We got to the bible camp and asked, but know one seemed to know. It looks like I should have taken that left instead of heading to the bible camp. Any help would be great...also maybe this map will help: http://maps.google.com/...56&z=14&om=1

I don't have a map but did you see the old fire tower? Most of the climbing is on the back side of the mountain. Go just pass the big path that is clear cut on you right and there should be a small dirt road on your right. You can drive down that 150 yards and you should see the camp site. Just west of it is a giant rock band and more boulders are scattered through out.
