That's a great deal on biners. I clicked around a bit to see how much they weigh because campmor doesn't say. I found this link: http://www.northernmountain.com/detail/502274?src=froogle It looks like the same biner, says it weighs 45g, and it has an open gate strength of just 7kn (Campmor says 8kn). It it's the same biner, it's a great deal, but I'd still, in the long run, rather pay more for the Trango Superfly wiregate. It's 33% lighter and has an open gate strength of 9kn, I love the way they feel and Mal is SUPERCOOL! At any rate, let the good deals roll.

The Mammut biners are actually 36 g. I'm looking at mine right now and it says the open gate strength is: 8 KN. I actually prefer the Mammut's standard wiregate's to my partner's Superflys. But they are extremely close in form/feel/weight/etc...

I bought some of those Mammut biners from campmor. The stamp on the biner says 26/8/10 (closed, cross loaded, open). I don't know how much they actually weigh, but I doubt it's 36g. It feels much closer to weight (and size) to a BD hotwire (45g) than a neutrino. Still, $4.46 is a great price.

Hmm... those are slightly different than the ones I own then. The strength's on mine are listed as: 24/8/8 and I weighed them at 36 g.

I have never used these particular biners, but this is the cheapest deal (w/o a coupon) I have ever seen on wiregate quickdraws: http://www.gearexpress.biz/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=G&Product_Code=6969 The seem to have a lot of good deals in their sale section. Is their current deal selection typical of GearExpress?

^^^ Gear Express is consistantly one of the best places for deals. These are out of stock on these right know, but they'll have more again later, and are cheaper than those camp biners. 10% discount when you when you buy 10 or more too.http://www.gearexpress.biz/...mp;Product_Code=5158

If you need a new climbing rope, REI has the Bluewater 9.7mm Lightning Pro on sale for about $125. If you use the code "HOLIDAY" at checkout it takes off $20. I LOVE my lightning pro and have used it for years. I just bought another since I didn't have a 60m (they all were core shot) http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8000&productId=47963079&vcat=REI_SEARCH&orig=7295820018&catalogId=40000008000 Josh Higgins PS Gear express is AWESOME!

i just ordered a bunch of camalots from gear express and mine were shipped the following day. Service seems good, no being put on hold or anything, I think its just a few dudes who run the place. Another nice things about gear express is they carry a lot of blems, all of which you can typically get 10-20% off. Good company, I will definetly order from them again. Also, check out: pagangear.com for good deals.
