I'm coming down to la canada flintridge (i live in boston) to check out colleges and stay at my aunt's house across february break. I'm looking to take my non-climbing cousin down to stoney point to do some top roping. He's a big dude, very indoors, and i can't expect better than 5.5 out of him. Do you guys know of any tall, exciting, simple routes that i can expose him to the sport with? i just have a rope, slings and webbing. will i need pro to set of the anchors or are there enough trees around? how tall is the tallest rock there that a (very) beginner could climb? i'd hope for something exciting for him. pardon the long post
