Taking advantage of the unseasonably warm temps today I noticed the short trail from near the Nears lot to the Uberfall was closed, had signs up about a recent string of Pedestrian/Motor Vehicle accidents. Anybody know what happened? Sounds bad.

It's been that way all summer...guess you haven't been around.....I can't vouch for the 'danger' incidents. It might be a good excuse by the Preserve to persuade people to stop going that way...The bootleg trails continue to see use and brush that is put there gets moved.....

Yeah, that was closed a while ago. I could see how climbers would get hit there. Late in the day the sun is right in the eyes of the drivers who are hugging the turn on the side where climbers are walking back to their cars. Maybe it was closed as well to discourage folks from parking at the "nears lot" and force them to park where they are suppose to. dev

I've been grounded for about a year (really a year and a half now) now with a double finger injury on my left hand, so I haven't been making the drive. But I think it's gettin better now...jackpot. New or not just seemed kinda weird to me that if there were accidents they weren't in the news or on any posts here. But it makes sense if they're just doing it as a precautionary thing.
