Fred Nicole did Witness the Fitness in late Dec. He did it with a couple Key holds broke. Fred had to do it totally differnt than Chris. That is all.

if he did it different than sharma, id really like to see the sequence. curious to see if he made it look as brutally powerful as sharma did.

it's ok i understand sidepull, but its true. Anyways, Fred is an amazing guy, most down to earth, laid back climber ever! It was great, the other day I saw him leading a 5.8 and it took him like 30 minutes to do. His girl friend said it was becasue "if it is 5.8, he wants every move to be 5.8 or below". So yea, he could have pulled trhough on many other holds, but his technique is amazing..... Oh and just for the record, I WOOp him in pool!!

Yes, Fred conquered Witness the Fitness. Oh, and I would not be out trying to gain access to Witness....you will ruin the access!!! For you will become hated by the climber community for being the one who crushed access to the most incredible thing here.

Unless your planning on sending out there you really don't need to be there. Broken holds on any climb suck but if you break it off "just looking" at something you can't do it's way |

In reply to: Witness the Fitness is a wonderful line in a little too-soft sandstone cave, so that you have to choose only the very dry days to try it in order not to break any holds. Unfortunately during Fred attempts two holds have broken, but luckily this didn't change neither the nature nor the difficulty of the problem. |
