I thought I would be skiing by now, but it looks like the snow will hold off and it will peak in the 40s this weekend so I was thinking of climbing. I can deal with that temperature, but wondered about the conditions in the Trapps. Has it snowed much / at all this year and will there be issues with melting snow on routes? I am in Philly and don't want to go through six hours round trip driving if I can't get any climbing in... Any locals have some info on the conditions?

I have not been to the ridge in quite some time, but Im currently about 40 miles West. There is no way there is any snow on the cliff. There is sure to be some runoff but I have full faith that you can find some dry routes.

Ive climbed before with some snow on the the ground and on the GT. The saying still rings true that "If the road is dry, the arrow wall is dry." If the sun is out at all, go to south facing areas that receive a lot of light. Arrow/Annie Oh, Classic, Son Of Easy O are just a few areas that come to mind.
