HERE WE GO (Since I live in an area were the only ice I can find is in a womens heart) I am intrested in using axes in doors. Can anybody give me guidance as to what axes I could use and pic type so that I could use them in a indoor gym without the owner fliping out. I am mainly interest in developing technique and strength.

There are a lot of ways you can do what you want (not exclusive to a gym, and many better options): Try these articles: http://www.planetfear.com/article_detail.asp?a_id=213 and http://www.planetfear.com/article_detail.asp?a_id=214 search "training for ice" in these forums wrap your picks in duct tape and tak of you poons for use in the gym

I've got a board in my garage with strips of plywood screwed to it for the picks. Works great, and the only "Ice" climbing I'm doing right now

Go find the local baseball diamond and climb the chain link fence with your tools and crampons. Great workout.
