hey im a kutztown high school student and was wondering if anybody has climbed at the new wall at the university yet. i was wondering if its worth paying the money, or if i should just go to a bigger gym like reading rocks or cliffhangers? thanks

Yeah man its a pretty decent place to chill out and climb if youre not looking to travel to the other gyms. I climb mostly at Reading Rocks, but as a KU alumni I go to the Rec from time to time. The Outdoors Club changes the routes every few months or so and they are pretty laid back there. You cant belay which sucks, a ku gym employee has to do it:/ Theres a waiver you have to sign, but i never did it, just show up with your shoes and pretend like youve been climbing for years and that you go to the college:-) You dont have to swipe an ID or anything to gain access to the wall.
