So yesterday I posted a photo late in the day.
My photo is approved, but it doesn't show up in the 'New Photos' area, just under the ice section.
I figured it was just under a bunch of new photos, but the same new photos are still there from yesterday...

So I think I figured out what is going on:
If photos are approved more than once in a day, say a set of 25 in the morning, and then another 10 later in the day, the second set of approved photos appear after or later in the list of new photos rather than before.
This happens in this page:
http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos/
Although on this page it correctly displays the order by newest first:
http://www.rockclimbing.com/.../New/2007-01-22.html
This may not be noticable to some people because on this page:
http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos/
The default settings are set to display the '5 newest', but when you have it set to show the '50 newest' it is more noticable.
The other problem is that if over 50 photos are approved early in the day, and then more are approved, I don't notice a change unless I am looking at:
http://www.rockclimbing.com/.../New/2007-01-22.html
Does this make sense?
