Huge Bomb in Iraq

On new years eve I heard that a bomb exploded in the Madrid airport. Since we were flying there the next day it concerned me, but I figured that would mean that the next day would be fine. So when I passed the destroyed parking garage and the countless crushed cars, it gave me a new respect for what a car bomb can do. That bomb killed I think 3 people, so the coverage in the states was minor. But to see it was stunning.

Yesterday a truck bomb killed like 130, wounded 300, and collapsed 10 buildings. That I can't imagine.

Yes, that one was certainly very bad, and therefore got the press it deserved. But even still, Madrid was the only time I have seen car bomb wreckage in person. I was shocked by the disparity between it's press coverage and what I actually saw.

Side note: In Spain I saw on the news video of Palestinians running from an Isreali Apache Helicopter shooting missles into a residential neighborhood. It's interesting what doesn't get shown on our media.....
