Please reminder that you are suppose to go shoot specifically for this assignment, not just use images that exist in your files already. The idea behind the assignments is to create new photos and develop a certain skill. In photography, we can use line to draw the viewers eye to specific area of the photo. These lines are called leading lines. In climbing, we can use the rocks natural features like cracks, or the climbers equipment, like a rope to create these lines. This month, you assignment is to go out and shoot some leading lines. To do this: Select a camera angle where the natural lines of the scene lead the viewers' eyes to the photos point of interest. Popular non climbing leading lines include fences, road, and shadows. When I shoot pictures on the coast, I often use the waters edge as a leading line. When photographing skiers, I us the fresh tracks they leave behind in the powder. Don`t forget that there`s more to climbing then the actual process on the cliff or frozen water fall. When doing these assignments, keep in mind they whole process. Packing for the trip, loading the car, setting up camp, the approach, racking up before the climb, packing at the end of the day and so on. Good Luck Emmanuel Eman Lacoste A sample, but I will go shoot specificly for this post soon.

I wish I had more than a tiny camera to take this with, but we were out on a four day trip in snow and freezing temps. It really makes one think about composition rather than gadgets though. My buddy and I framed this to draw the eye from back to front, following the walker (me) as I come up the trail.

This is a late entry, but it took a bit longer to get myself around to scanning it into the computer:
