Hey guys! It's been a long winter but now that it's getting warm I'm getting back on the line! Unfortunately its not warm enough to walk without getting my toes nice and numb. Anyway, in the excitment of getting back into it, I designed a shirt that I thought was pretty cool and I was wondering if there was any interest. My last shirt didn't go so well but I think I've learned from my mistakes (mainly, I won't print this myself. that was an enormous pain in the butt) and this one will go much better. Well, here it is:

That's pretty sweet. Definitely a different design than some of the others out there (silhouettes on a line). Maybe playing around with the size of the graphic and/or adding another foot might finish it off well. If not, it'll at least let you know that you've found perfection with your design. I defninitely like it though! How much will it cost? What other color combos are available?

I was thinking of using cafepress.com to print and distribute them but as far as prices go I haven't decided but probably somewhere around $15 and for colors i can change the color of the graphic but a colored shirt is more expensive than a white one so probably for starters this will be it unless there's a larg enough demand then I'll see what I can do

Just a heads up, when you use Cafepress you gain the convenience but give up almost all profits if you keep a normal price range. It seems attractive up front, but unless you can somehow get a fair chunk of change out of the shirt, you'll usually only get $1-$2 per sale and people will still think it's too expensive.

Originally I had my t-shirts printed, which was a major hassle (guessing which sizes to buy, ending up with sizes or colors that just won't sell), but much more affordable. After I decided it wasn't worth my time I switched to cafepress. Frankly we got so little from still having plenty of sales I decided to change mine to only charge $1 extra and that dollar goes to our fund to give slacklines to schools or clubs.

I guess the moral of the story is don't expect to get rich off t-shirts, even if you do have good designs. Best to just have some fun with it.

Well I'm glad you guys like them! Sorry I haven't posted recently, I've been having some internet problems, but the bills are paid now Laugh and I'll be able to post. Anyway, I'm hoping to have some ordered by then end of the week, I'm still debating whether or not to use cafepress.com. Tomorrow I'm going to call some local places and decide what the cheapest way to do this will be. Then like I said I'll do some orders by the end of the week and hopefully get some shirts to people sometime in the next week or two! Cool I'm not really in this to make money so hopefully I can keep the price down as low as possible. Anyway, I'm super excited to see people wearing these! Laugh

lol ok, anyway, what do people think about the shirts? I know my friend thinks that the line shouldn't drop below the k as much as it does but I think its good because it matches the top and gives the feel that its a line... what do you guys think? also if anyone has any other criticisms please let me know quickly! :)

I think the line length is good. You want it to extend past the k so it's clear what it is.

neat....

my first reaction was, remove "slacker". Im sure you and your shirts will evolve to many different levels though. simplicity less ='s more

and white shirts sure do get dirty fast when dealing with dirty nylon.... forest green- kackygrey/light brown
good luck amigo

i agree about the white shirt comment but for now its cheaper, It's not set in stone though and if I can find a cheaper place I'll definitely change the colors. As for the slacker I like it because it makes other people ask what the shirt means and you can tell them about slacklining, but I'm open to whatever so let me know what you guys think

ok, i've called a few places and i found out that i can get them printed locally for much cheaper than i can on cafepress.com so it looks like the shirts will be $8-$10 and then shipping. I do need to get a bit better estimate as to how many shirts i can expect to sell because its cheaper the more i have printed at once. so if you're interested, please shoot me a message I think i'll do the official ordering and payment in the next week or two but for now i just need an estimate so let me know!
