Yes this is an elitist question. Snobbery to the highest degree. Still, I ask. Are there trad routes harder than 11b in Cochise? I seem to see very few. I'd love to take the trip but I really can't drive that far for 5.10. How many 12's with no bolts are there? Enough to occupy someone for a week? Flame me. Shit on me. Call me a spraylord and number chaser. I can't justify the drive if I could just solo the whole time.

Even though there is not a ton of really tough climbing, the climbing there should absolutely be experienced. It's different than anything I have ever been on before. The runouts can be butt puckering, regardless of the grade. And there is a good offwidth (which we all know you like) on Cochise Dome, at least from what the people I was there with told me. I only looked at it. Yeah, you'll probably clip some bolts here and there. But you also get to sling chicken heads. There seems to be a lot of areas there that see little use, so just exploring would be fun as well. I say go, it's fun regardless of how hard you want to climb.
