A friend and i are coming down from ohio this weekend to do some climbing and take in some warmer weather. twall looked like the best place to get some trad climbing in, but we just wanted to find out a little more about the area before we make the 9 hour drive so if any of yall could help me out with any of these questions it would be greatly appreciated. first are there easy leads (5.9 and below) at twall or are we going to the wrong area? Second whats the camping situation. and last how quickly does the rock dry off down there. i.e if it rains thursday might it be dry by saturday. sorry for the list of question but any answers would be great. thanks folks.

T-wall is great for the beginer trad climber. Lots of stellar routes 5.9 and under. Aside from leading a little at the gunks this is my first full trad trip. Get the pocket guide to T-Wall or the whole Dixie Crag guide to TN. Goldie Locks 5.8 had to be the scariest 5.8 ive ever led but i cant hand jam worth shit apparently. Besides goldie locks, in pursuit of excellence is a great 5.9, margin of profit is stellar but i didnt lead it 5.9+ (gear is there but its exposed), Prerequisite for excellence and sanskrit where also pretty fun 5.8. We spent 4 days there and didnt get on a single climb that wasnt 2 or 3 stars. Also got hailed on. Campground is right at parking lot and their is a pit toilet too with a nice river view. cheers and have fun T
