You guys aren't real hardmen. We bring a bottle of George Dickel with us on cold days while climbing and finish that sucker off before the days over. I can hear myself now screaming Yee Haw after a long hard swig of Dickel about to set off from the anchor.

Is this another stupid reference to Cliff Hanger? And, no, I will not watch it again to find out.
Me? I simply like drinking beer after climbing, but I am too much of a finger wuss to climb in the cold. Hardcohol just ain't my poison. Does heavy liver damage make frozen fingers more bearable?

No reference to Cliffhanger. I wouldn't watch it either, stick with something good, like Vertical Limits. Anyone who can sprint with crampons at 7000 meters is pretty rad in my book.
Heavy liver damage is easily repaired through dilligent coffee consumption btw.

I love beer. But the key words in your question are "the cold"...so I'll have to go with whiskey. I'm not sure who makes what, but Bushmills is good. If it where really cold I'd say Jaeger.

Beer! First choice, Killians. Second, Yuengling.
Since I don't have to worry about being "ghey" and I was feeling kinda fun I might bust out with a $3 bottle of Boones Farm (ahhh memories). You gotta love Boones Farm!!

We're not talking about getting tanked and climbing... Just a few drinks before, during or after. No harm no foul, and if you drink, you realize the consequences of doing so.

Don't worry too much, usually people don't climb slammed, just some beers with your can of tuna and chips. Remember you have to carry them to your crag!!! Stoners, that's a different story. And I have yet to see a stoned climber deck (or a belayer drop someone).
But at the end of the day, a couple of caguamas under the tin roof, waiting for your friends to come down from the surf...

nah. i'n fact i'd wager that many big routes have never been done without drinking.
I favor watery cheap beers during the summer (my favorite being olympia) in that they hydrate more than they inebriate and leave money for gas but oatmeel stout is hard to beat in the winter. its also damn hard to beat the brew pub in squamish for post climb drinking.
