Terrible, disgraceful shit going down in the VA hospitals..so much money being dumped into the military, trillions of dollars, and these poor dudes can't even get clean linens for the rats to scurry about on. Let's see the government explain its way out of this one..perhaps Al queda is running the VA?

Same shit... different decade.... when ever I hear that whole "Thank you for your service" I want to say to them.. then put your money where your happy little homilies are and SHOW the veterans that you really DO value their service. I had to deal with the VA during the 80's.... seems that nothing has changed.... all the while Ronnie RayGun was dumping Trillions into defence the VA was.. and still is a sad place to have to be.

A fine example of government controlled health care.

Brought to you by the same fine folks who shipped in non potable water to give the troops over there. But whatever, gotta increase that profit margin any way you can I guess.

Hiring a private firm to run a government contract does not make the VA a private enterprise, Zozo. It's still subject to government control, and thus my point stands. And, FWIW, the VA has been a shitty program since it's inception.

Walter Reed is a military hospital, not a VA hospital and according to Brit Hume:
In reply to: This is unfortunate. It looks terrible, which is the problem. The problem is that it looks as if this administration, which has sent troops into harm’s way, is now neglecting them when they’re injured and need care and help. more mis-information...

I think that non-potable water gave me cavities. I never had a cavity before iraq... Now i have three I brush my teeth 3+ times a day... maybe as few as one when on patrols in iraq, but now i'm up to 3 to 5... Bullshit i tell ya.

crankinv9 wrote: Walter Reed is a military hospital, not a VA hospital... Technically, you're correct. My bad. (Though one could argue that a VA hospital is a military hospital... but I won't, cause it's not germane to the point.)

I don't know all the facts about this yet, but s far it seems like yet another example of the government saying "whoa maybe we should deal with this" after it is too late.

In reply to: BTW Fox has spent 12 times as much time on Anna Nicole Smith than Walter Reed. So has everyone else. Check out CNN Headline. We've had 24/7 Anna Nicole for what seems like a month now. I just click the clicker and make it disappear.

who gives a shit about anna nicloe smith? if there was ever a more worthless topic to pursue, it would have to be that one. the whole country stops when some rich and famous prick keels over, but bring to light the thousand different ways the government is screwing the people over, and america collectively drools in disinterest.
