I'm Coming down this weekend and was wondering if anyone knew a name of a shop close to new River Gorge that sells "New River Rock" by Rick Thompson? Thanks

Waterstone Outdoors, where you should spend every gear dollar. Downtown Fayetteville, friendliest folks around and tons of firsthand knowledge and beta. When you turn onto 16 heading into Fayetteville, it's on the left at the first light.

yea, early 2006 I think. While I still don't have that much experience with the "New River Rock," my skimming of it leads me to think Thompson's book is the best source for the trad line descriptions.

I have both guides, for Trad routes, buy the Thompson Guide, if you want to climb sport routes + at Summersville and the Meadow, get the Cater guide.
