i heard a rumor a while back that there was supposed to be a bouldering guide book for bishop in 2007. any info would be great.

It came out in early March.
The same publisher that made the Hueco Tanks guidebook is responsible for putting out the new Bishop Guidebook (Wolverine Publishing).
It's phenomenal. Color photos of the problems, well-written descriptions of the problem, area history and notable figures and developers... for a guidebook, Wolverine has done an amazing job on it. Almost too amazing...

It has trancended the role of guidebook and in my opinion is now in the relm of overpriced, glossy, coffee table book. Sorry Wills, but $36.00 buys me a resole at the rubber room!
great pictures though.
