I am in the market to buy a new pair of lace-ups - very excited at the huge selection of women's shoes at REI right now. Any suggestions? Right now I own a pair of 5.10 Black Diamonds and 5.10 Moccasym. It's been awhile since I've purchased a new pair!

I recently got the Scarpa Dominatrix but, I haven't been able to use them yet because it's rained every day since I got them! There are a few Scarpas on REI outlet right now. I've had Scarpa in the past and been overall happy with them.

La Sportiva mythos and muiras are great also. Just be sure to pick the shoe that fits your foot best! Even if it is a "guy" shoe.

I enjoy my Saphires (made after the Diamonds were discontinued). Are you looking at women's shoes because they're generally more narrow? I would takea look at other narrow shoes as well, even if they're not woman specific (because, to be honest, its 50-50 if the women's version will actually fit me better).

I have found that La Sportiva and Scarpas are nice.

I like anasazi lace ups. Some people complain that it's not snug on the heels, though.

I LOVE my Evolv Rockstars, designed for a woman's foot.

I get a pair with extra sensitive soles for indoor bouldering/sport climbing, and I get the regular sole for outdoor climbing.
I even have a pair with the extra durable rand (I was a big toe dragger for awhile!).

The Rockstars are fairly sensitive, I can use them well on steeps, can heel hook (nice, narrow fit) and I use them as an all day multi pitch trad shoe.
Finally, if you have funky foot size, they will let you split sizes on a pair of shoes; i.e. 7 on one foot, 8 on the other.

I always write to Brian at evolv if I have any questions about their shoes, fit etc.

I have the Evolv rockstars too.

I'd recommend you get whatever fits best and is most comfortable. My problem is that my lateral malleolus is quite low so most shoes dig in under it. I've only ever found 3 pairs of shoes that don't do this.

i just got a pair of muiras and i love them ... i got the mens version though because i had the mens katanas and found the fit to be better than the womens.
just try on lots of different ones ... you're going to be spending a bit of money on them and a lot of time in them in the future, so you want a pair that you really like.
good luck!Smile

Thanks girls for all the great suggestions. I think I might bust out of my 5.10 rut...although I do love the rubber.
