On May 19, 2007 the Waynesboro parks & horticulture department is putting on a big event (Blue Ridge ExtremeFest 2007) and is looking for some slackers to pitch in for the slackline demos.
We've already sent them some lines to give away as well as a demo line, but they need some local talent who would be ok spotting a bunch of newbies and showing off the basics. They have event staff to help out, but none of them have any slacking experience.
It's a really good program but I can't be there since my fiancee graduates that day. If anyone is in the area and would like to pitch in please contact:

It would be an excellent way to help out in a community event and put the sport in a positive environment which goes a long way to ensuring parks departments are slackline friendly.
