Went there recently but routes in the database vs. the Austin Rock guidebook don't match very well. The only one of these that I could identify for certain was Crack Smack. I'm assuming Tree is the route that you could start by stepping off the large tree root. What's the route 6 feet or so right of Tree? I'm assuming it's Mega Lounge but the opening moves to the high first bolt felt much harder than 5.8 as the the moves to the second bolt, from there it felt reasonable for an .8 Also, what's the route about 8 feet left of Tree? It climbed very much like Tree with an obvious right facing flake up high to another reachy finish. Any info would be appreciated. d.

The Mai Tai wall has a great setup in the Guide Book. I think the climb you think is Tree is not the 'real tree' route. Tree should be on the wall to the right of ProtoType right on the upper ledge. There is a giant tree there. Tree I believe is a 5.9+ and the one to the left of it (few feet) is about a 10a-b or something. I've done Tree once, it's a pretty fun route, short, but not too bad. Now about 20-30 feet to the right of Tree there's another tree on the trail that has a few routes next to it which are all in the 5.7-10 range. Pick-up a copy of the Guide book (which you have) and I'd go with that since that was recently published

It only describes the Tree route as "Start on the ledge next to the big tree". The book says the next route is Mega Lounge at 5.8 with 2 more routes before Crack Smack. Mega Lounge significantly harder than that and I only recall one more route between Lounge and Crack Smack. Hmm..should've taken a pic. d.
