I took my first trip out to Chickies on an unseasonably warm (record high, I believe) January day. I only did two routes, but would like to practice trad climbing there as soon as it gets warm again. I printed out the route info, but still found it hard to place all of the climbs based on the references in their descriptions. Can anybody familiar with the area jot down a left to right listing of climbs for the areas? Thanks much to any that can help.

I found the same problem. I majorly updated Mt Rigaud and posted 2 new areas Panther Hill Crag and Lac ????? in the old RC. route data base. They were all in order L2R. Now it;s all buggered up. I haven't tried to do anything about it, but I'm glad you made this post

Eric Horst wrote a guidebook for Chickies but it's no longer in print. You might be able to contact him either at his website http://www.trainingforclimbing.com or by way of Millersville University meteorology dept. I used to hang out at Chickies a lot but I don't know many of the routes by their names. Witches Brew and the Library are the only ones in the routes section that look familiar, because they're pretty obvious. We used to just climb all over the place without much thought as to specific lines. There are a lot of really cool spots there, the detached tower in the woods at the west end is a lot of fun.

I did try e-mailing Eric but have not yet heard back. As luck would have it, the site owners added sequence numbers back and the routes are supposedly in order now (I can't verify the numbers were correct to begin with). I'll give it a whirl next time. Is the tower you mentioned listed as one of the sections or is this a separate place? I only had time to explore Trail Valley and the Main Wall but would like to try a detatched tower...

If you're facing the rock the little tower is on the far left back in the woods, it's only about 30' or 40' tall, but fun because of the four sides to it.

Well looks like I finished my topo just in time. The topo is to big to upoad so email me at eddietheteddie@rockclimbing.com for a copy. Anyone very familiar with the routes input would be greatly appreciated, so I can make the topo as correct as possible. Hope you guys like it. Once several people have looked over the topo, and given me some feedback, ill zip it and upload it for all. Filer
