I'm planning on passing by there next week (March 15 or so). Do you guys know if it's ok or too cold to climb right now?

It's been pretty warm around here (50's @ 8000 feet), so if it is sunny it should be good. I'd go in via Burley, Albion, Almo as the road from Oakley was still pretty crappy a few weeks ago.
Snow should be pretty much gone, except maybe the drift that covers the road up by Breadloaves.
Might be out there tomorrow, I'll post back if it looks good. If not, you could always hit Dierkes Lake near TF - warm dark basalt.

Can anyone update the conditions in the City.
Has the recent bad weather amounted to much snow accumulation?

No snow in Twin Falls as of right now, system had much less moisture than was originally forcast.
Drift at the Breadloaves blocked the road 2 weeks ago, but was pretty close to melting off then. Probably muddy and wet in most places, but I doubt there is that much snow.

This snotel site is in a canyon, about 15 or so miles north of the City, approx. 8k feet. Only 3 inches new at this site, so I would say the City would be pretty good.

Wish I could help!! now living north of Seattle....... so no good direct beta
As long as things are nice they should (generally) speaking be able to get in from the Almo side most any time. Snow was a bit deeper this year, but I haven't been out there at all. As long as the sun is shining the climbing is good!

Josh-
We did go a few weeks ago and the weather was very sketchy. It snowed at night and got very cold. The road was closed from Bath Rock on with heavy snow. Still, we were able to camp at the City and climb at Castle Rocks. We have had warm weather lately, so I bet a lot has melted since then. The climber ranger/ visitor center is very helpful, so I would call them if you are considering a trip soon. I am sure they can give you updated conditions of the road. It looks like the day time temps have gotten a lot better. Have fun!

Just got back today. It was cold (40's) and windy with snow flurries, but most of the rock was dry. The road was open to the Breadloaves (probably further, but that's all the further we drove). There are lingering snow drifts at the base some of the rocks and some wet and icy cracks.
