I just read this on the Gripped Site, and haven't seen anything posted on it.

Ohh, Hugh, So sorry to hear. We had some great times together and I look back on those fondly. The world is a poorer place without you, Hugh. All the best to Maureen. I'm so sorry.

The community has lost another great climber. I had the opportunity to work with Hugh for several years as a US distributor of HB Equipment. He was a brilliant man with a great sense of humor. His stories of early exploits with legendary climbers kept me riveted and I was always amazed at his product ideas and observations.

I'll miss you Hugh.
