easy climbing near denver  (North_America: United_States: Colorado)

i will be in denver visiting family for a few days to a week in june or july. any suggestions for easy sport from 5.7 to 5.10s? prefer short hiking too because i might have some elder family members to come along. thanks in advance!

Have not spent much time out there, but the two areas that pop up in my mind are Clear Creek Canyon and Boulder Sport Park.

Table Mountain or Lookout Mountain in Golden both have moderates. Lookouts approach is approx 2 min for about 6 short climbs. Table Mtn has a 20 min approach (uphill though) for alot of climbs in your range. It will be hot around Denver in the summer. Boulder Sport Park is also a good choice though its about 1 hour from Denver. Most of these places have info on this site or mountainproject.com. Good Luck

I would try castle wood cannon out by parker. watch for snakes. try picking up a copy of rock climbing colorado. that should help.

leave the elders at home and go hike the keyhole route up longs peak - just as good as any 5.7

Then most assuredly don't take them to the sport park. Ignoring the mandatory stream crossing (either tyrolean or wading), its just a horrid place for anyone to go.
