Continuing Arizona's tradition for holding great Climbing Paries get ready for the 6th annual Flapper Fest held in Queen Creek Arizona. Woo hooo, Prepare for the Greatest Flapper Fest To date... Mike Gave me some more specific Beta last night so here it is... Flapper Fest 2002 will be either the weekend before or the next weekend after Halloween. That's either the last wekend of October or the first weekend of November. With little over a month to prepare I hope all can find the time to start the Queen Creek Season off on the best note. Mike has lined up a Food Sponser, Music (Alex & Rob's Band), and a Purcussion (Drum) show. I am currently working on an Audio Visual Show again and Yes there will be Keg(s). So go get your Tiki Torches and start scrubbing your tips cause Heaven is right around the corner. Does anyone know if either of those weekends will be a full moon? I am sure that would be a deciding factor along with the proximity of Halloween to the Festival. How about a Dyno Comp? Think it would be worth it to round up some scaffolding for a locals verson of this PBC event? If you got Idea's let them known we will try to give you a hand if you need it.. Prepare for the greatest Party that ever hit the Flapper Fest. See ya there JBone

Unfortunately, I don't think I can make it to Flapper Fest I already planned a backpacking trip with some girlfirends that weekend. It's sounds like a blast, though. Have fun!!!

Jay~ Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is any cost. The only foreseeable cost would be for food/beer but I believe he said it was sponsored. Dunno. Just a bunch of climbers congregating in QC to party and climb.

4 more Days!! No Cost.... Just Skin.. he he Oak Flat's campground (OK get your GuideBooks Out) past the state camping area up towards the Warm-up Boulders and the Tetons. On that road leading to the parking area for these boulders. We usually set up on the left side in the clearing as you drive into the Warm-ups. 2 ways: Either drive up the Highclearance road at the regular campgraound. or head towards upper devils canyon and make the right turn at the top of the hill and take the easy dirt road bypass road. Any car short of a lowered Civic should do fine that way. See Yall there... JBone

So, is this a Friday through Sunday sort of gig, or just Sat, Sun? Kind of wondering if there's any craziness going on Friday night. Weather in the midwest is turning sour really fast (snow predicted in the Red on Saturday), so I'm considering fleeing to your nice warm climate for the weekend.
