Problem: Using the Opera 9.2 client under Vista with all the latest updates, the forums do not load and make Opera crash or eat CPU & Ram. Expected: Shouldn't do that. Repro: Use Opera 9.10 on Vista to access forums Workaround: Use a different browser. Not sure if this is a problem with the site or with the render engine, but it's rather annoying to have to switch browsers just for this site. x.x

You are using Vista.....!? PS, I will install Opera 9.2 on WinXP tomorrow, and see what happens (i.e. I should have an update in about 10 hrs). It sounds like the same CSS problem that was occurring in Opera 9.10.

Gabe, You mentioned before that removing some lines from the CSS file fixes the issue. Let me know what you find in your new setup with Vista and Opera 9.2 ( does the "fix" still work?), and I'll see if I can make that change without breaking other things. DDT

Unfortunately, I do not have access to a machine with OSX or Vista, but I did install Opera 9.2 on WinXPSP2. Same problem as before, and yes, the "fix" does still remedy the problem. Here it is again:
In reply to: ...if I remove lines 1282-1285 from global_luna.css, everything works beautifully. Lines 1282-1285: .clear:right { clear: right; } Give it a go, what's the worst that could happen....!? Edit, just noticed the formatting of global_luna.css has changed a bit. Those lines are now 1281-1283.

Thanks for the reminder. Still had this on my list but it drifted to the back burner. I removed those lines from the CSS. To be honest, I am not 100% sure if something actually needed it, and what the effect would be if removing it. So this is a little bit of trial and error. If anyone notices anything else breaking now, please let me know ASAP. Also, please confirm that this took care of the Opera issue. Cheers, DDT
