Has anyone every tried to climb, gain access, or know who owns campells ledge? This is the huge band of rock that is visible from the Pitston area. Looks like mostly trad climbing but i have never explored it. If anyone out there has any info that would be awsome.

campbells Ledge is probably one of the chossyiest crags in PA. I put up a bunch of trad lines there a long time ago but it is real crappy rock. I t looks good from the ground but sucks up close.

try hiking up above the ledge to the reservoir. there is a nice bouldering area there.

Also a nice sandstone cliff a notch west on the ridge line near frances slocum.

With all the great climbing in scranton/WB, dont waste your time at campbells.
