I just went to REI to pick up a guide book for Suicide and Tahquitz. The only one they had was a Falcon guide dating back to 2001. Is there a better/updated book available?

I thought there was a newer one. Heck mine is even older than 2001 and still works. I don't think the latest has much more information that the others...maybe some changes to grades though...like I saw somewhere White Maiden is 5.4 now? I could be totally wrong, but hope I helped (a little).

I agree with the previous poster that the 2001 guide will be fine. There have not been too many new routes going up there. That's probably why they have not updated the book recently. I still see the 2001 edition in the shops, and I'm pretty sure that is still the most recent.

2001 is the most current, although it does have a new style of binding as of this year, I think!
