Saturday June 23 at 10:00am.

Access Fund Adopt-a-crag day.

The focus of this event will be trail maintanance, trash cleanup, graffiti removal, and relationship building with the PA State Game Comission.

This is one of PA's geologic gems. Hope to see many rc.comer's come out to this event and check out a great PA climbing spot.

Count me in...Wink I'll try to find the little bastards that painted that nazi cross so we can make them lick it off. They prolly live somewhere between coal castle and centralia.

Great to hear,

I hope a lot of people will make it out. This is a unique opportunity to unite ties with the PA Game comission.

I spoke with them today and they are very excited about the cleanup. They have also ok'd part of the PA crag-trails project to redo the base trail at the base of the crag--many trees ahve fallen obscuring much of the trail.

Bump.

Unfortunately I will be out of town that weekend, but kudos to you guys for getting out and cleaning up Boxcar. Anyone in the area should really check this place out and lend a hand. It is a super cool place to climb and is in dire need of maintenance. I will try to get up there soon and clean up some litter or something. Thanks in advance to all who help out, and thanks to Rob for planning the event.

There is a trail now running along the base of the cliff. No more jaggers and jungle. We also built some steps and cleaned up most of the trash. The place looked good when we left. We will have another clean up day in the near future.

Just wanted to personally thank everyone who came out to help.

Thanks to Jason (deharmtrees) who drove all the way from State College--a two+ hour drive, and worked his butt off to construct an awesoem new base trail.

Thanks to Scott and Jess for extending the trail to the end and cleaning all the brken glassup.

Thanks to Joe F, who cleaned up butt-loads of glass and lugged huge steps together; and we both have all our fingers still.

I think the best part was getting the attention and support of the PA state Game Commission.

Thanks again all, and thanks to Mia and Beaves

no worries about the drive Rob, it's always fun to put some hard miles on a rent-a-car when you unfortunately have to have one.

it was great to meet you guys, i look forward to helping out in the future, never hesitate to count me in

speaking of the Game Commission, it was nice to get to know one of the patroling officers. i was there early and he met me up at the rocks and we had the chance to bs for a half hour. ends up he used to climb with his wife when they were younger up and down the east coast, spending alot of time in North Carolina, but were regulars at Boxcar as well. it's nice to know one of the people that will be enforcing the regulations for the land in the area has that background.

thanks for letting me be involved

long happy trails and safe climbing,

jae
