In the newspaper delivered on 6/19/07, it was mentioned that two Apache tribes have joined together in the fight to keep the Queen Creek canyon open. Their main point is that Apache Leap is sacred. Which also it was mentioned that they will be holding a gathering on 6/20/07 at 10:00 AM, at the Oak Creek Campground. This is a big step to help keep Queen Creek open and clean of toxic waste pumped out of the mine. If you are able to make the event, I would highly recommend it.
