If you are an extreme climber that takes training and nutrition serious then knowing how climbing effects the body and what parts are involved is very important.

There are going to be a few more articles about all this. It's an ongoing series. I need to lay a foundation for what your body is made of, and how they work, before going into why someone should do this instead of that.

Now you know what your tendons are made of, though...

Just absorb this information. It will build upon itself and you will be a walking book of cool info that will hopefully make you a more cautious climber towards your body.

all knowledge is good knowledge. I agree with pianomahnn. Read it and let it sink in.

besides, if he doesn't go anywhere with these articles then we'll lynch him.

Attention angry mob! Those of you with torches please line up on the left! Those of you with pitchforks on the right!

Calm down my dear, sweet, angry mob. The 3rd article should be in your cyberhands by the end of Thursday, and this will make even more sense. It will be on muscle and bone development, and structure. THEN...I will get into keepin them healthy, and how to heal them when they're injured, along with some other nifty tidbits o' info.

Until then...keep your torches burning, and your pitchforks sharp. I could use a good run for my life!!

I started this angry mob when I posted the first question on article 1. And I don't have a pitchfork OR a torch. Fiend, where did you get yours? Do they cost anything? Is that what the gear forum is for?

Actually, I think that a little educational content once in a while is great. Although I must say that I'm really enjoying "the little crag dog story" too. http://www.rockclimbing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=3141&forum=32&26

Good job pianomann. You have us all on the edge of our seats.
