I'm gonna be in La Paz as of the 8th of July 2007. I'm bringing a trad rack etc and would like to get out into some alpine rock (not mixed routes).

I have been looking into this area. AAJ articles, as well as some info from a guy I know who has been to the Quimsa Cruz area. It appears to be like the Californian High Sierra: loads of alpine rock, cool dry weather, unlimited new route potential, relatively easy access (6 hours by jeep from La Paz and one looong hump day to get into main area).
