The project group "Schaufelsen" has presented new suggestions for climbing regulations in the area of the "Schaufelsen". There will be improvements for environmental protection because of more flexible regulations. But there will be more routes allowed at the rocks of "Hoelle", "Schaufelsen" and "Blicklefels". 2003 the new suggestions will be put into practice, hopefully. The number of routes in that area will grow from 47 to 115 then. Good luck project group "Schaufelsen" !

The Shaufelsen is a great place to climb! Good 2-3 pitch climbs on limestone

yes it is a good place, but there are strict regulations. the project group "schaufelsen" tries to improve the situation and to improve the communication between climbers and environmental protectors. only if all climbers accept the exsisting regulations the project group has a chance to manage a change ! so watch out where you climb !
