Ted & Sean have been putting in a lot of work lately bolting new routes and performing maintenance on some of the existing ones. I noticed yesterday the shuts on Itchin to Climb have been recently replaced and Sean mentioned he plans to replace the ones on Hinterland as well. Ted has starting requesting donations towards bolts which I think is totally reasonable; I'm sure the cost adds up and there are a lot of us who benefit from the work of a few guys. If I knew Ted was going to put out a donation box I would have made sure I had some cash on me, but I'll definitely make sure I hook him up next week. It would be a nice gesture if people started bringing a little bit of cash with them, particularly the regulars who are there all the time. It's lucky for us that Ted's been bearing the cost & effort so far, but we can't expect him to do it forever without some compensation.

I will get Ted's address...you can send donations directly to Ted.

Also, we will be doing a "clean and climb" on the weekend of October 12th. You will have lots of opportunity to make donations (in exchange for camping) and help out with trail maintenance and clean up at the lower slabs. Stay tuned for more details.

The cleanup sounds like a great idea.

Count me and a few of my friends in. We will definatly be there to help out.

I mentioned this to Ted: If you are looking for entertainment over the weekend sometime. I would be more than happy to do a Pennsylvania climbing slideshow. I have a ton of pics of interesting spots all over PA.

Anyway just an idea if you are looking for events for the weekend.
