You guys are climbing at Rumbling Bald in the summer? I would definitely recommend waiting until the winter, it's a serious reflector oven!

JellyStone Campground right off of Hwy. 226 is a good place, and only a mile from my house. Buck Creek campground, which is in the Lake Tahoma area is good. Also, Tom Johnson Camping Center offers campsites. It all depends on your style, tent or coach. All these campgrounds offers full hook-ups and tent sites. curtis creek off us70 just east of old fort. it's free, has pit toilets, and there's a creek to bathe in. fyi: mcdowell county is dry.
