Yes... I heard about the first trad lead. Yay!!! Alas, I'm stuck in Banff this evening... I suppose I will have to go climbing instead. Any plans for the weekend? I think Janice was hoping to climb.

Janice is maybe free on Sunday from her In-Laws. Emilie and I have about 9 gigs of pictures to organize this weekend so we don't bore everybody with a 4 hour slide show. Basically that means that yes we will be climbing one of the two days this weekend. I think we might be thinking of Yamineering. Possibly red shirt (or whatever it's called) or directisima. hmmm maybe I'll buy the guide today.

Extended to all RC.com people in Calgary or in a reasonable distance. Molly Malone's in Kensington. Top floor (or ground floor if we cannot get seats). 8:00 ish. Expect a motley crew being eyed by the bouncer. Wear a red carnation if you are worried you will not be recognized. I may no longer be cool enough to attend, but I will be there anyway. B

Well if you're only looking for 'true' Albertans, I'm out - I'm an import too... I'll see what I can do about getting there tonight, not sure if I'll be free at that time. Since it's turning into a bit of an event but there are some who can't make it, maybe we should actually plan a beersnight event a little further in advance...

All those times I let them kick me out of the Liberty Lounge.... and I could have use that line to stay, damn. (You should know that back in the day the Staff of the Lib were some of the most frequently kick out patrons due to excessive intoxication, MRC fact) You are fine if you can lie on the floor without holding on. MMmmmmm beer camelback...... We should organize somewhat of a Gathering. If not at a bar, I'm sure my Truck is more than capable of hauling a keg anwhere in the Ghost, though the best keg campsite is far past where we're 'allowed' to drive now. I'll see if I can duck out of dinner early, or leave after and make this gathering... but I'm dealing with the whole Inlaw thing and I'm not really up for having my other half get all Irish on me for ducking out for a few beers while she's stuck with her Family... we'll see.

Calgary - Beer.. Hey,.. it worked last time. Something about those Calgary climbers, as soon as the word *beer* was added, there was instantly another 200+ views. Was just thinking we should try for:
Whine Fest #2 (about 40 inch runouts between bolts) for people like Brenden who initiated it, and then never showed up .. This Wednesday (Sept. 12th), same place, time? Molly Malone's in Kensington 8:00'ish etc.. Extended to all RC.com people in Calgary or in a reasonable distance. Post/reply/ if you're in for beers, (or if another day works better). ..of course this is just a warm-up/practice session for: darkside wrote: CASA Calgary Slideshow and Dance Party CASA is once again holding it's fall event in Calgary. You don't have to climb 5.12 to belong (or even know what 5.12 is). This is Cal, not SO CAL. You don't even have to be a beer drinker! I even hear the pub serves some beverage called "water" Not sure what it is, but it looks alright. B
