Anybody got any beta on where flagstone actually is, how good it is, etc? I'm gonna be in the Eugene area this summer, and I need a place to climb.
The Skinner's Butte area doesn't look too great, any beta on that either?.... Thanks

There's a great guide with all that and more. It's a big, thick beast for all of southern Oregon, and I'm pretty sure you can get it through REI (that's where I saw it).

I don't know much about Flagston...But Skinners is about 3 blocks form REI and The Crux climbing gym. Skinners doesn't have a lot...it is about 30 yards accross and maybe 40 feet tall. Some cracks, all TR...

Get ahold of deed. He is a local Eugenite and I am goign to try to hook up with him this summer while my wife and I are done there for our vacation. When will you be there? Maybe we can hook up too.

Let me know. The Russman

Awesome place to climb! Great challenges. 4 rope min. Lots of good rough camping around there too. Two day stay at least!!

Flagstone is a nice area. There are a few multi pitch climbs. Some climbs are over 30 meters in length, so you are forced to take the walk offs. Their isn't much top roping because of that.

Make sure you have good directions. It is not easy to find. There is plenty of camping. If I remember correctly, there is a little pond that you can get water from, but I would bring all the water I needed rather than relying on the pond.

The bolts were all good.

Have fun.
