I'm under the impression that the park service or some one is doing a study on bolting and fixed gear. Does anyone have a link to the study plan or results? Im writing a paper and this would be extremely helpful. Thanks.

Clean wilderness act of 1960s passed by congress.
Enjoy reading it and let us know what you think.

so, are you writing a paper on the park service, forest service, bureau of land management, or what? Each national park or forest has its own specific plan. Official wilderness or primitive areas have specific bans on mechanized equipment such as power drills, but not necessarily against anchors.

like Majid said, check the wilderness act of 1964 for a start.

Yeah, pretty much a paper on bolting ethics for my Rec class. Ive read the wilderness act. Im wondering about bolt and fixed gear effects on the environment. Ive read of climbing area closures and bolting bans do to to impacts on the environment. I was wondering if there was anythings specific to bolting. Other then they look bad.

Thanks.
