Where can I find info about Royal Robbins? There is surprisingly little I can find on line except for references to his clothing company.

By Pat Ament: Royal Robbins: Spirit of the Age. Boulder, Colorado, USA.: Two Lights. ISBN 1-881663-02-7.

Go to Amazon.com and search for "Royal Robbins" -- you should get some other books, like his book on "Rock Craft", etc.. Also check out the American Alpine Journal --

A great Resource for anyone doing research on American rock climbing is The American Alpine Club Library. Join the AAC and they'll provide you with everything you need

You should read Steve Roper's 'Camp 4,' talks a lot about Robbins as well as the other 60's Valley climbers.

You might also think about picking up Rockcraft and Advanced Rockcraft. They're neat little booklets and they're not that rare, you can probably get them for $5 each or thereabouts. Check online.

You might also be interested in picking up a copy of Galen Rowell's The Vertical World of Yosemite.
