Going to visit my grandma this thanksgiving in Pinehurst. Was wondering if there's any good climbing that area?

I lived near there for ten years. During that time I did the least amount of climbing in my life. Sorry. If you really feel the need there is a pretty good rock gym in old down town Fayetteville. It is near Hay st if a I remember right it is on Russell. It is about an hour drive if traffic is low. I would look on line and call to be sure it is still open first.
The Mts have a lot to offer but they are many hours away (not a day trip). If you do go to the Mts or with the gym in down town Fayetteville. Don't be sure you know the way. Not the sort of town or area you want to stop ask directions or go down the wrong road. Gangs in town Rednecks in the country. Good luck.
