Ok so I have never rock climbed before just hiking climbing up small rocks and boulders there pose no challenge. But I recently moved up to Laramie,Wyoming for school I went out to Vedauwoo to check it out and I became really interested in rock climbing. I also got the idea of proposing to my girlfriend atop one of the rock formations there. Is there anyone familiar with the climbing out there that knows a spot that is easy to reach the top without any gear or real experience that would be ideal for this?

Yeah, I can think of a couple of places on the top of the Nautilus that are easily reached with no technical climbing experience. As a matter of fact scrambling on the Nautilus is what got me into climbing in the first place. If you've got some time to kill you could stop in at Big Hoss (?) and ask for beta on decent scrambles, I'm sure that crowd could get you sorted. Edited to add: petsfed is definitely a good source of beta on the area, and a good guy in general.

Take the visitor's trail up the back of the main area - it's pretty well marked, well it used to be anyway. It ends at a beautiful overlook and at sunset there are golden eagles flying around, and you get this postcard perfect view of it all. It's just simple hiking and nothing difficult at all. The trail is maybe half a mile? A mile? It's been a long time since I've been there so I don't remember entirely. God Bless, mik
