I know it is the end of the season but I wanted to start a new thread dedicated to northern Vermont so we can share info and get climbers together. Feel free to post questions or information on indoor climbing, rock climbing, or ice climbing, and to look for others to climb with.

Hi!
I'm currently a student at Johnson State College, and am one of the climbing wall supervisors there. I've climbed a little in Franconia notch, a couple times at the Beer walls and Owlshead in the Adirondacks, a few times on the upper west Bolton walls, and practice a lot on Prospect rock. I climb at a 5.8 to 5.9 level, and am comfortable leading 5.6-5.7 on trad and sport. This is the middle of winter so this is kinda pointless right now, but if anyone wants to do some aid climbing, to practice, or for fun, let me know.

Hey Gaklath, say hi to Brad fro me. I graduated from JSC a couple of years ago. I guess you don't go to Petra much since you work the wall at Johnson but if you want to iceclimb let me know.

yeah,
If you would not mind comming to the stowe area the ice looks really good already. Threre is plenty of good stuff in the notch and sterling valley has some managed spring feed ice too. Let me know what your schedule is like.

Hello,
Im going to be staying in Dansville this weekend, (from Mass.) and can't find anyclimbing aproprite for me.
I don't have the equipment for sport/trad, (or a willing partener) and i don't have any boldering pads. So i'm mainly looking for nice top-rope routes.
Sry for the short notice guys, but i'm very desparate right now.

So you do have TR supplies like biners and long runners/static ropes?
There's a place called Under Cliff in St. Johnsbury. Only about 30 feet tall but kinda interesting rock. Look for a 4x4 trails on Woods St. off of Underclyffe Rd.
I believe the cliff is on private land, but be considerate and mindful of your erosion impact. Also.....find a partner. Always

Thanks for the secret crag basilisk, St. Johns is only a couple minutes from Danville. We're gunna check out "upper" Bolten cliffs, or w/e it's called. On Saturday because is alot farther from Danville. So we'll deffinitly try the secrett crag on friday or sunday.
Edit: How is the rigging settup there? you mentioned static ropes, so i'm guessing any trees are a bit far out? Should i bring some extera webbing from my slack line rig?
