Anyone out there that climbs around Orient Bay? I used to climb back in college but haven't in a while, so I'm looking for someone with experience to get back into it.

Try the Thunderbay section of the Alpine Club of Canada. You need to be a member of the ACC to join outings but its cheap.

The Toronto section let my husband go to one of the outings last year without a membership so he could try it out.

The Tajmahwall.

Stellar multi-pitch trad climbing with a good selection of single pitch sport. About 39 km north of Nipigon on Hwy 11, park on the right side of hwy 3 km past the large compressor station. Follow obvious trail east and up slope to campsite, then another 2 minutes to the main wall

Find it in the latest Thunder Bay Guide by Alex Joseph & Randy Reed.

As mentioned above the ACC in Tbay can help you out as well.

Toronto section does not require a membership, you sign the waiver, pay the non member fees if they apply and you come along.

My old climbing partner is now in TB. He says he climbs all the time. PM me for his address.
