Hi There...

I am moving to Santa Fe in early Feb and am trying to get to know the area prior to actually arriving. I was curious if there were any gear shops in Santa Fe or would I have to go to Albuquerque? Also any recommendations for climbing areas when spring hits? School has taken over my life so I haven't been getting in much climbing so would be a little rusty here. I also like mountaineering and would really be into winter trips as well...

If anyone is interested, I like to backcountry ski and would be looking for partners (who are safe and knowledgeable) for either backcountry or front country skiing. I have taken an avy 1 course and have all necessities for backcountry skiing, I just haven't gone skiing since last winter... a little rusty as I am new to teleskiing. Darn school!

Anyway, I would appreciate any info on the area for outdoor fun. I like to run and stuff as well. Any recommendations on trails that are near the town and easily accessible? I am taking off this coming semester to work, so hopefully will have lots of time to play, play, play. If anyone needs a tag a long let me know!

Thanks a lot,
Sarah
