yes it is. In the future, you should learn about avalanches. Why, because avalanches kill people. One good book is Bruce Tremper's staying alive in avalanche terrain. A book like that is a great companion to go with an avy 1 or avy 2 class..... as in I'm trying to imply the class is very important
